Why not?

Norway!!!

May 6th, 2008 in Me, skiing

So Norway is pretty cool. We went skiing!  It was May 4th, and Folgefonn just opened!! It is a summer-resort!!  It opened two days earler because it had too much snow.  Stay tuned for pictures.

We also went on a gaper-fjord curse.  Way too many photos for one blog post.  Steep cliffs, water falls, 20% gradient roads, vikings, no extra charge.

We had many ‘ute pils’ (outside beer), cog-rail adventures, Norwigan Cuisine, Bryggen houses(the midevel houses), and many other things that I couldn’t fit into this sentence.

Also, our warm radience brought a sunny week to Bergen, the rainiest city in Europe.  Watch out Germany, here I come!!

I have had the lucky opportunity to have a research paper publication as an Undergraduate at UC Davis. It is titled “Talk and Work: a Preliminary Report,” as is published in the 5th Annual International Working Conference on Mining Software Repositories. A copy of the paper can be found at http://davidspattison.com/assets/pattison08TWP.pdf.

I will be giving The talk at the conference in Lepizig, DE on May 11th.
